Volunteer Commitments

Kurt is an active volunteer; as such, he is constantly providing time to local and national organizations for big and small projects. Some of these commitments might last a day such as building a house for the Habitat for Humanity or building online forms for the Indianapolis St. Vincen. Other commitments may may be ongoing such as the volunteer work he does for the Carmel Clay Schools.

Kurt currently has volunteer commitments to the following entities:

  • Indiana Chapter for the FBI Citizen’s Academy.  Kurt provides advice and ongoing work on any issues related to technology and communication;
  • Carmel Clay School System Web Advisory Board. Kurt provides advice on any issues related to "myCCS" and the website for the school system;
  • Dinoseries, the preeminent mountain biking and trial running series in Indiana. Kurt provides advice and ongiong work on any issues related to technology and communications;
  • Forest Dale Elementary - Yearbook.  Kurt, and his wife Debbie, manage and coordiate all aspects of the official yearbook for the school.
  • Forest Dale Elementary - Fundraising.  Kurt is the Co-Chair for the schools biggest fund raiser.
  • Battlefield Chivalry, a nationwide youth leadership series.  Kurt provides advice and ongoing work on any issues related to technology and communication.
  • Williamson Run Neighborhood Association. Kurt provides advice and ongoing work on any issues related to technology and communication.
Kurt recently applied to serve on the board of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). ICANN was formed in 1998. It is a not-for-profit public-benefit corporation with participants from all over the world dedicated to keeping the Internet secure, stable and interoperable. It promotes competition and develops policy on the Internet’s unique identifiers.  If Kurt is selected to represent North American for this prestigious organization he will have to cut back on his other volunteer commitments.
